It's been a while since I've played this game seriously, or even really thought about it seriously. Honestly, it's kind of bored me. Today though I had the urge to check into the Shadow tree for Priests and was pleasantly surprised with how well the trees have been put together, if not a bit overwhelmed at some of the great new/changed talents.
I decided to make a quick build for PvP and thought I'd discuss some of the talents: http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?talent=bEhMuZZ0xffoikfVoidVo
Shadow Tier One:
Spirit Tap-I for one love the change of this to a 3 point talent, sure it will still only be picked up by PvE Priests, but making it a 3 point talent and adding Imp Spirit Tap finally gave PvE Shadow Priests something semi-useful in the first tier for PvE.
Improved Spirit Tap-Will give Shadow Priests 50% more Spirit after landing a Critical Mind Blast or Shadow Word: Death, while causing mana to regenerate for 8 seconds at 50% of normal regen. This is amazing for PvE, Shadow Priests already have posted WWS's of 40% crit rates on MB/SW:Death while only sporting 15% crit or so, I forsee Shadow Priests actually valuing Crit now. Sure other stats will be better to focus on, but it's a nice change.
Blackout-Still the PvP talent for Shadow Priests.
Shadow Tier Two:
Shadow Affinity-Is something I doubt I will see many Shadow Priests picking up anymore with Shadowform receiving a passive 30% threat reduction. I haven't had a chance to try Shadow Priests in Beta, but I doubt they will need this threat reduction.
Improved Shadow Word: Pain-Just became an amazing talent for PvE and PvP. Orginally it only increased the duration of SW:Pain by 6 seconds fully talented. This made it great for PvE Mana conservation before Shadow Priests could DPS almost forever with only a Shadow Fiend and Mana Spring. Once Priests got geared though with 1200 Shadow Damage, they found this just allowed them to wait 2 extra ticks of SW:Pain without reapplying it. It wasn't a very good PvP talent either. Now with it being extra damage, it's great for either PvP or PvE.
Shadow Focus-Was once an amazing talent which allowed Shadow Priests to need little added Spell Hit for raiding purposes at the cost of 5 talent points. They have since changed it to 3 talent points, reducing how much spell hit it added but made Shadow Spells cost 6% less mana. Nice PvP change, hurts for PvE though.
Shadow Tier Three:
Improved Psychic Scream-Remained unchanged, necessary for Shadow PvP especially since it's linked to Silence.
Improved Mind Blast-Nothing changed here either. Great for PvE or PvP.
Mind Flay-Even though it's mostly a filler spell in PvP and PvE, it's still very very useful. Necessary talent.
Shadow Tier Four:
Improved Fade-Once heralded as one of the worst talents to grace the game, it's not not looking too bad for PvP Shadow with Improved Shadowform. I doubt many people will pick it up, but now it's semi-worth it.
Shadow Reach-Necessary for PvP and very useful for PvE. Nothings changed from it.
Shadow Weaving-Same as it was in TBC. Necessary for PvE and PvP, though I'm not sure if I will stay 5/5, rather go 4/5 SW 4/5 Imp MB. We'll see how things pan out.
Shadow Tier Five:
Silence-Necessary for Shadow Priests in PvP, if you don't have it and are PvP specced, you are retarded.
Vampiric Embrace/Improved-Same talent, necessary for PvP, nice to have in PvE (Improved).
Focused Mind-With Dispersion and Shadow Focus reducing the cost of all Shadow Spells, this talent has lost a lot of value. It may not even be necessary for PvP/PvE. Any Shadow Priests in Beta care to comment on mana at the moment?
Shadow Tier Six:
Shadow Resilience-4% Physical Damage Reduction is decent, much better than the old form of it (reduces chances of being critically hit by spells by 4%), but is still lackluster. If it were 4% Physical/Magical damage reduction then it would be great. As for now, I'm not sure.
Darkness-No changes here, necessary for PvP and PvE.
Shadow Tier Seven:
Shadowform-Necessary for PvE or PvP. Amazing talent especially buffed for PvE. One thing I'd love to see is a 15% magical mitigation as well, but that's probably asking for too much.
Shadow Power-Has been changed losing 5% crit talented, but adding a 50% crit modifier making Crit more valued than it has been. I don't see this being used in PvP, but essential in PvE.
Shadow Tier Eight:
Improved Shadowform-Thank god Shadow Priests finally have anit-spell pushback AND a snare removal. I eventually see Fade becoming baseline to remove snares eventually, as every priest needs it, so maybe the 15% magical mitigation will be added here eventually? This will probably not be taken for PvE except for a few fights, amazing for PvP though.
Misery-Same talent, very useful in PvE and PvP.
Shadow Tier Nine:
Psychic Horror-Oh thank you so much Blizzard. This is proof they do at least read suggestions. Priests in general have been asking for this forever, even though we wanted it baseline I won't complain. Two points well spent. No use in PvE, but amazing PvP.
Vampiric Touch-Slightly tweaked, still necessary in PvP or PvE.
Pain and Suffering-Is something I'm highly considering picking up, but if I do I would have to change some of the Disc points around. It's a great talent for PvP or PvP so we'll see.
Shadow Tier Ten:
Twisted Faith-Amazing talent. Converts Spirit to damage and increases damage by 5% per Shadow Priest DoT on the target, yours only. Will be great for PvP and PvE.
Shadow Tier Eleven:
Dispersion-Oh lord thank you. This talent is amazing for PvE or PvP. Must have.

See high res here.
These images of from Final Fantasy 13 recently sprung up on the internet. You can check out more these shots from a HD feed of the trailer in real time below. Click on each image for higher resolution shots.

You can check out the full gallery here over at IGN. Be sure to check out the new shots of FF13 Versus as well which just showed up this week.

These shots look pretty damn incredible. When I first saw these a commenter noted that it looks like next gen armpits have arrived according to the first image. The ice image is absolutely fantastic, even for a pre-rendered background. And again, these images are all taken real time from the game and not mock ups, art, etc.

If this doesn't make you salivate over graphics I don't know what will.

Obamas youtube channel involves speeches and videos of his progress throughout the campaign. http://www.youtube.com/user/barackobamadotcom?ob=4
Mccains youtube channel is all videos flaming obama and taking the same quotes and repeating it. http://www.youtube.com/user/johnmccaindotcom?ob=4
To an intelligent person, what mccain is doing is stupid and childish and mccain would lose his vote from the intelligent person.
To the dumb person, if something is spammed 3432432 times through flashy videos in a different way in each video, they'll believe it and vote for mccain.
Sadly, the vast majority of america is dumb.

I'n playing during the beta weekend I started off, a wittle goblin shaman, PvEing trying to learn the basicas enjoying the game and running public quests and getting pissed off when I lost the loot bag rolls.
I threw in some PvP here and there, but the scenario we were put in pitted us against the mighty dwarves, whom I was sure were going to be push overs considering how hard me andd 300 other people were stomping them in the first public quest.
That unfortunatly was not the case.
IMG]

The situation would go like this.
ME another shaman, and a squig herder (Goblin with bow and summons disposable and varied squig pets) would assulted by a single, lone ironbreaker.
Said ironbreaker would proceed to attack the nearest player, a shaman. I would put my two hots on the shaman, and have my lifedrain also healing this shaman.
My attempts at dps (And the squig herders, and the other shaman's )would bring the ironbreaker down to 40% before he killed shaman. The squig herder would be next, going down faster because there was only me left to try and keep him up. Ironbreaker would turn to me at 10% hp. Needless to say, a Runepriest would show up, heal the ironbreaker and I would be THREE SHOTTED.
Dwarves in Warhammer are not to be trifled with. Simply put, I would lose about 4 - 5 scenarios, Begin to win one, and halfway through crash to desktop. (/teaR)
After I hit level 10, I checked my Tomb of Knowledge and It told me I had been playing for about 6 hours total on this char. I decided it was time to try somthing else. I opted for the Sorceress.
Now let me take a moment to talk about the sorceress mechanic, Dark Magic. In order for better comprehension, I will refer to it as "Dark Chakra".
Basically the majority of a sorceress's skills (You can roll a sorcerer, but the dudes look more like tranny's rather than dudes) build Dark Chakra. For example, you have a basic DOT, instant cast, creates 5 DC, Basic Fireball spell, 3 sec cast, creates 10 DC, and then "Gloomburst" which does a little less than the fireball spell but has a 10 sec cooldown, 1 sec cast, and creates 35 DC. You then have a spell called "Dhar Wind" Which deals more damage depending on how much DC you have, and resets you back down to zero.
Here is the kicker though, Dark Chakra scales your abilities. At 100 DC, You have a 50% chance to "Backlash" (Which means you hit yourself for about 15% of your hp, not sure if the dmg is scaled with your hp or what) oh yeah and 50% extra critand 50% increased critical hit damage.
Huh? What? After playing my mage for 3 years reading what kind of stats this caster gets as a base mechanic was ever so slightly flabberghasting. I'm no mathmatician but I'm pretty sure that at max DC Sorceress are running around with something close to double damage.
Anyways so the whole point of this post was to point out that I hit level 8 on my sorceress in 3 hours. And that was with the pvp quiests for the first scenario being bugged.
Reason? I kept winning the high elves vs dark elves scenario. And Exp is given out for killing players so I was earning ~2k exp every game we won the ~2k exp from just playing the entire scenario out.
So winning scenarios brings in at least twice as much exp ( not to mention renown, which is like your pvp level, and gets you acess to gear)
Here is the Kicker: Cost (W)(W)
There no difference between arranged team que groups and pug solo que groups
So basically what I see happening is guilds who form early on in the game, and play scenarios together will not only level quicker than others but will have acess to decent gear via their renown rank. All of the pugs they will stomp on a daily basis will learn to lothe and fear the guild name...
E-famousity is born.
Point being: I plan on starting a wowriot fueled War Guild. If your interested in helping me out PM me ect.
